Welcome to MPA Marketing, Inc. We are a 4-person manufacturer's representative firm serving the consumer electronics industry since 1977. Working from our full-service facility in suburban Chicago, we provide marketing, field sales, and full support – for vendors of home theater and related products – to retailers and custom integrators in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Territory

MPA Marketing covers the northern two-thirds of Illinois (south to include the cities of Champaign – Decatur – Springfield – and Quincy) and the eastern two-thirds of Wisconsin (west to include Wausau – Stevens Point – and the Dells region). Some vendors – at their discretion – also have us cover Lake and Porter counties of Indiana (also known as Northwest Indiana and directly adjoining greater Chicago).

History

MPA Marketing, Inc. was founded as Mark Petty Associates from a 2-flat in the Hollywood Park neighborhood of Chicago on June 1st, 1977. Lacking any associates at the outset, Mark Petty hit the road solo with Jet Sound Car Stereo and RTR Home Speakers. The associates materialized quickly as MPA developed an enviable 12-volt line portfolio. Throughout the eighties, MPA enjoyed much success in this category.

During the late eighties and until the mid-nineties, MPA distinguished itself primarily in the home speaker category. We were awarded Rep of the Year four times by BIC America, and once by Epicure Products (EPI).

Mark Petty Associates became MPA Marketing in 1994 – simultaneous with our entry into the video and custom installation product categories – and our complete departure from 12-volt. Today we are solidly-entrenched in the rapidly-expanding home entertainment convergence category. We carry NO 12-volt, gift, housewares, or personal electronics lines. Rather – we are dedicated to being a vendor and/or customer's very-best resource – in one market segment.

MPA Marketing operates from a full-service facility in the far-northwest Chicago suburb of East Dundee. We offer both vendors and customers the advantages of an active showroom, a separate dedicated training room, conference room, warehouse, and generous off-street parking. We are conveniently located only 1 mile off I-90 at the Beverly Road (Sears Center) exit; 1 mile west of Sears World Headquarters on Illinois Route 72 (Higgins Road).
